Gender Apartheid

"What glory can there be in the conquest of a mindless body?"

Apartheid means segregation. In this case of topic it means the humilation and destruction of females. It is without doubt the most lunitic war I have yet to see. I don’t even understand the nature of why a male would wish to apply such cruel intentions to women as a group. I do know we as free women are blessed. We are blessed to be in the shadows of men of greatness, and decency. Men of honor.

"Gorean women, whether slave or free, know that their simple presence brings joy to men, and I cannot but think that this pleases them."

"We are free women. Men, some sorts of men, will save us. Men, some sorts, cannot so much as stand to see a tear in a woman’s eye. To such men it is unthinkable that we might bear the consequences of our actions."

September 27, 1996

On this day what were you doing?

My father was with me on this day, my youngest son was two years old by just a few weeks, and we were watching him play in the dirt pile behind my house. I was just moving into a brand new house I had designed myself, and I was pondering how I would come up with the money to put sod back there, and how to place it. I was thinking about supper and what I should make for my family. I was thinking how sweet and chubby my little boy looked. I was sitting in my kitchen with a cup of tea, talking and smiling. I know I was happy. I was wearing a summer dress because the day was warm. It was very simple, showed lots of arm, slit up the sides, and tiny straps. At this stage of my life, I was educated, and my own boss. It was a good summer.

September 27, 1996 an extreme military group in Afghanistan was very busy. They were taking away life from the women that birthed them, and loved them. Women and girls all over that country were being stripped of basic human rights.

- Women were being banned from the workforce

- Schools were closed to females <including Universities>

- Women were no longer allowed to leave their homes unless they were escorted by a close male relative

- Their homes were painted black in public

- Women were not allowed to viewed hence they had to shroud themselves fully in the burqa or chadari, only a very small piece of mesh was allowed infront of their eyes.

- Denied male doctors to examine them

- Denied the majority of female doctors/nurses to work

Women are beaten, flogged and even killed for violating any one of these laws. Yes, laws.

"I suppose," I said, "I should be pleased that you did not order me to strip completely and kneel before you." "You are, of course," he said, "a free woman." "Suitable disciplines and punishments may be arranged for a free woman," he said, "suitable to her status and dignity." "I am sure of it," I said, ironically."

What were you doing on this day?

I was trying in earnest to find a new topic for my article in the Gorean voice, and working to boot. My day consisted of taking portraiture of folks coming in and out of the studio, and trying to think of something for supper, possibly a movie later that night for my two sons who had worked so hard through out their school year. I remember I had to stop and get the oil changed in my car. The car I own outright that I bought with my own money that I earned. I also needed to get my car washed.

May 24, 2001 a group of military folks in Afghanistan were declaring all Hindus wear yellow identification badges. This group is known to jail men for having a beard smaller then a fist, flogg women for showing any skin whatsoever. They can close a business if the owners are not attending church five times a day. Television, radio, and musical instruments are also banned.

"The gorean woman.. rejoices in being a woman.. often an exciting, magnificant, glorious creature, outspoken, talkative, vital, active, spirited."

Gor

Free women are loved, even though they wear beautiful veils of concealment. Their robes are many colors often showing personal taste, and fashion. Young free females flirt with potential mates when shopping, and walking along the streets. Children are playing, and the free are educated by some sort of trade or other depending on what caste their family has sworn to.

Free women are planning an event, or tasks to be carried out by one or many house slaves that are serving to please the Mistress of the house, they are nursing their new babes, or perhaps making a new gift for a companion due home soon.

Free women are wanted. They are loved, and thank god, they are needed.

What will you do on this day?

I will strive to mark this day on my calendar and stop at noon and drop my head in shame for the women, and small girls that have lost their free will to be women. I know in my heart they cannot see me or know me, but I know them. I will pray that someone sees their plight and will take action on their behalf so that they too may someday have the joy of reading a book, receive medical treatment for a simple illness, and be allowed to walk the streets alone. This is not Gor, nor a philosophy. This is evil and hatred of women. This is truly a crime in which people, female, suffer for no reason but that of mad men.

"Life can be bitter to the very bone, When one is poor, and woman, and alone." John Masefield

I wish you well,
