Being Less is Sometimes Best by prism Greetings girls, Does choosing to be a slave, mean that you are less of a woman? Many women who have chosen the path of voluntary slavery often wonder this. And this one uses the word voluntary because that’s what most of us have done. We have volunteered, we have chosen. No one rounded us up and took us by force. Whatever reasons most of us have for choosing this lifestyle are probably vast and numerous. But again ... does being a slave mean you are less of a woman?
That thought often creeps through most slaves’ minds. Especially, when you have women who don’t chose to submit or embrace slavery as some have. Being a slave is all about being a woman and being a woman is a wonderful thing. We are large, we are small, we are short, we are tall, we come in all colors, from all places. (Woo a little bit of rhyme there!) But seriously, just because you have chosen the path of slavery does not mean you are less. Perhaps you may not be equal to men, but you are never less to any woman. Thinking this sometimes causes slaves to become a bit bitter, perhaps a bit cynical, and most of all just plain unhappy. And with being that, how can you expect to be pleasing? Often you hear that a man must first master himself before he can even think about mastering another. The same applies to women. You have to know yourself, you have to like yourself, you have to know what you want before you can even think about turning yourself into another’s hands. It’s your responsibility to educate yourself. Not just in the ways of schooling but in the ways of life. Using the excuse that you’re looking for someone to take over so that they may guide you is really not acceptable. Having someone guide you comes after all that. When you know, when you are in control of yourself. And before you can let someone else control you, you really need to dig deep down and know what you want.
Slaves are no different from any other women in their wants and needs. This one remembers when she used to roam the halls of chat and hearing from other women: Ldquo;if you’re looking for a boyfriend don’t look to Gor” ... well duh... hello? If you’re looking for romance, don’t look to Gor! Uhmmm, if we look at the books correctly... Gor is a romance... (Romance with a twist.) Didn’t Tarl Cabot throughout most of series search for Talena? Then after her, there were others. Look at Captive, Rask and Elinor... eventually he went back for her. So, how can Gor not be romantic, in a sense? Slaves are women... slaves have feelings like every other woman. But in being a slave you learn how to control your emotions a bit more then a “regular” woman would. As a slave you learn to control your jealousy, you lean to hide petty things. You learn to please him, worry about how you can please him, and how you can make him happy. Learning how to make your owner happy is all about learning about being a woman, too. Don’t you want to look good for him? Be happy for him? So in learning to do all this, aren’t you learning about yourself? And in doing that, you’re embracing your slavery, not to mention your feminine side. So, what’s less than a woman in all that? Absolutely.....NOTHING. As Marilyn Monroe said, “I don’t mind living in a man’s world as long as I can be a woman in it.”
Until next month ... Another bump in the road smoothed to move along the path. Well wishes and Godspeed, prism |
