Tuchuk Haruspex’s Reading of the Runes
Man represents mankind and so this rune evokes the image that, although we must make our way in the world, there are others that share similar experiences. It speaks of your relationship within the whole where working together can produce better results.
The left rune represents one of the forces acting on the issue: Dagez means daylight representing divine light, generally referring to dawn, as in the initial sparking of energy, or midday, as in the climax of energy. Both are symbolic of dramatic change, but although this rune generally suggests a positive change, the symbology of its peaking point means there must downward change as well. Things are cyclic with no permanence promised.
The right rune represents another of the forces acting on the issue: Thurisaz is symbolic of thorns and represents barriers as well as senseless violence. In this reading it appears reversed which could mean that barriers will not hold and, in light of where thorns can be found, indicates goals can be obtained easily and without interference.
Ansuz refers to the spoken word of God, the voice of reason, law, prophecy and truth. It is the truth heard in the wind. This rune represents wisdom obtained or knowledge delivered. It is the rune of absolute good advice and true council - the message we all must strive to hear.
