A Tarn’s Eye View

Tal! Welcome to the 85th issue of The Gorean Voice.
This issue inagurates our 8th year!

In this Issue

BKHOOK return in the Art department, showing us a Panther Girl ... is she keeping hidden, or is she stalking prey?

In the Booknotes department, Socrates concludes Rogue of Gor, showing us in the process that there is always hope for personal growth.

The Guest department continues with the final installment of the definitive work by Makaku Oyami examining Gorean greetings. This has been a very popular undertaking and has sparked thoughtful questions.

The Slave Heart department offers ideas from kaylee{G} on Easing the Struggle.

In the Health department, prism features gout, a condition that continues to be poorly understood by the public and yet affects a surprisingly large number of families.

prism provides a concise poetic perspective on personal transformation in the Cross-Roads department.

In the Recipes department, holly{B} not only supplies us with camping menu suggestions but gives straightforward advice about campfires and about being in the wild. The practical hints and safety reminders make this article ideal for planning your summer outings.

The Poetry department introduces keira as she succintly summarizes the entire Priest-Kings of Gor in a must-see read.

From the Crossword Puzzles department, Mishel sends this note: “Greetings!! It happens to everyone (I hope). Vacations come and you have to take one or you’ll burn yourself out. And mine has come now!! BUT!! I could not bring myself to leave you without a puzzle so, I combined all the puzzles we have done in Fighting Slave and managed to make a quite nice one with only 89 words!! There’s a really cool and lazy jigsaw, too (only 192 pieces). So relax, grab an iced drink, and enjoy and we will get back to the grind stone come August issue. May peace and love surround you and yours and thank you for playing.

Readers have noticed that the email notification system has not been working. We have been hopeful that it would become operational soon, but at this time, since we do not presently have a functioning email notification service, I have deleted the button. When readers can again enjoy that service, we will announce it and restore the button.

Watch for This

The Geography, Kajira Korner, Pleasure Gardens departments will return.

Because there are always proposed contributions in progress, The Gorean Voice is preparing other really nice surprises for you as well.

Possibilities for Contributors

There are many possibilities for contributors. If any of these departments appeals to you as a place where you might find a writing or other artistic niche, and of course, if you have ideas for a new feature and are willing to help, then read the guidelines for authors and let us know! Although some possibilities are more appropriate for one person to manage over time, many departments benefit from many contributors. Even if you are thinking about contributing only once, say, through Gorean humor or a book review or perhaps a poem, you should still contact me.
