Slaveheart

Greetings Masters,
Greetings Mistresses,
Hello slaves,

All to often we find ourselves logging into message boards each day, hoping to find the latest bit of wisdom, a good discussion, or the answer to a question that has lingered within our brains. Many times we find what we are seeking, and some good food for thought. Then invariably we find something that we feel deserves our comments. Something that has struck a cord within us. Most of the time it is a negative cord, or something we strongly disagree with. Although there are times you find that thing that just makes you want to say, “Thank you”. It is those times that we feel anything but happiness, that lissa would like to talk about this month.

Depending on which board you frequent, the rules for slaves posting may or may not be the same. On top of the rules of the boards, there are also at the very least 20 different men on that list that have their own standards by which they like to see slaves post. So, not only do you need to remember the rules of the board itself, you must also remember that there is more than one person on that board that must be pleased.

It has been said over the years that, “it’s not WHAT you say, it's HOW you say it”, is the basis for all communication between any Master and any slave. It is a critical, conscious thought that a slave should remember at all times. It is also the one thing that must remain in the forefront of your mind as you post to any given board.

Keeping those words in mind, a good start to any post is to do a little research, if you haven’t been a member of that board and following the discussion threads for a period of time. Most of the boards archive the discussions, take the time to read through them. Then always remember to greet everyone, men first.

In the body of your post, is generally where most offenses occur. If you feel you have to ask for forgiveness in the first sentence of the post, or that you have to say that you hope you don’t offend anyone, chances are you are going to do just that. lissa has painfully learned over the years to write out her post first, in word pad or where ever and let it sit for awhile. That way you can go back after the steam has cleared and ensure that you did not write with a huge attitude. The majority of the time, in lissas opinion, slaves have some wonderful thoughts and insights into various things, and give some great food for thought. But we often forget that it is a priviledge that we are allowed to participate in the discussions.

In the end, don’t forget to wish everyone well, and sign your name. And if a free person should offer you some help, be sure to thank them for that. lissa hopes that this eases some of the pains of public posting and that we can all survive with minimal displeasing.

Wishing everyone a wonderful July.

always,

lissa
