BennKar Speaks

Greetings and welcome to the 61st issue of The Gorean Voice.

This month The Gorean Voice starts its sixth year, and this also marks a completion of a year of my stewardship of this magazine devoted to John Norman’s works. For this month’s columns, Socrates starts his synopsis of the tenth Counter-Earth novel, Tribesmen of Gor, while Hersius takes an in depth look at the Tahari that is travelled throughout that novel, and we have more wonderful art by Vanion and fawn{G}. We also welcome back kisa{~K~FG~} with her columns.

I would like to take a moment to thank all the people that have contributed to this magazine, not only this issue, but for all the prior issues as well. This magazine is an expression of their belief in the Gorean ideals and it couldn't have come about without all the contributor’s efforts. That said, you can see this month that we are not including a few columns that were in the prior issues. This is due to commitments or other emergencies that have come about in the lives of our contributors. They may return, but that is not always the case.

Becasue of this, we here at The Gorean Voice still face the challenge of putting together issues that cover many areas.

We have had people come forward in these past months, but we are still hoping for more readers to come forward and join the ranks of the TGV staff.

While we appreciate the help in any area, we are in highest need for new columnists in the following areas:

  • Lifestyle
  • Interviews
  • Recipes
  • Debate
  • Community
  • Puzzles, crosswords, games
  • Photography
  • Philosophy
  • More...?

In addtion, we are always looking for more artists as the current artists can contribute only so much from month to month. If you know of any artists that might be interested in contributing here (or perhaps you're a budding artist?), please make sure to ask and pass along our email address if they have any questions.

This past summer I stepped forward to help this magazine by being its editor. But I can only do so much.
Make a resolution for the coming year that you too will contribute to something you love. Contact us and let us know what you can do to help. The prestige and satisfaction in contributing to the Gorean community is something that you can't measure. So open your mind, think on what you can do, and write us before the next issue comes out.

Of course if you have an idea for a NEW feature and are willing to help, please let us at TGV know as well.

I wish you all well in the coming month,

BennKar
