Tuchuk Haruspex's Reading of the Runes
Sowelu is a strong symbol and represents the sun, a lifegiving force. Symbolically this rune means insights and triumph of good over evil. In this position it may mean remembering where your life began and where it is rooted. Meditate on these things and find comfort in where you came from and appreciate that is what has made you the person you have become and are today.
What may be seen or learned from the center rune representing a deciding element of the present: Uruz represents and is symbolic of the ox - a strong, brave and proud animal. Often it is the epitome of representing masculinity. In this position it appears to mean the need to reach deep within yourself to gain the resources you need to face some trying challenges happening now or ones to come soon or to pull yourself out of what appears to be some kind of rut which, if left as things are now, might result in a feeling of hopelessness. This rune denotes great inner strength - simply apply what is already within you.
What may be seen or learned from the top rune representing the forces working for you: Wunjo represents joy and bliss. You have worked hard and gotten to where you are because of it and are free to enjoy the fruits of your labors. Allow yourself to enjoy some of your accomplishments and be satisfied at how far you have come. In this position it also comes with the warning though that joy can sometimes be withheld, squandered or not fully experienced and may, when this is the case, mean there is some sort of separation from your deity which is keeping you from its full joy and happiness or that there is something still needing to be done and finished before the joy can be savored.
What may be seen or learned from the bottom rune representing the forces working against you: Isa is the rune symbolizing ice and all its deep meanings: cold, stagnant, frozen, unchanging, aloof, dispassionate. It is the very representation of bitter aloneness or loneliness, slowing down or being stopped or being overtaken. In this position it seems to mean a warning - something in your environment you fight against or deal with every day but that you have the heart and courage to face and continue to battle against because you understand the dangers of becoming trapped in things as they are and continue to work for change.
What may be seen or learned from the right rune representing the critical element of the future that is at the core of the final outcome: Laguz is the rune representing water and all its strengths, meanings and forms. Water is often a sign that meditation is needed and deep inner searching. It is also a very feminine rune and as such can represent beginnings and endings from which new beginnings come from - the cyclical nature of life and death and of the world itself of which we are all part. It can symbolize journeys - physical ones as well as spiritual ones or emotional ones. As a symbol of primal power, this is also a sexual symbol which again ties into the whole meaning of the rune and its ties into basic elemental forces. In this position it most likely means something of an inner cleansing needed and deep meditation from which the answer you already hold within you is given revelation.
