lscribe.jpg - 28105 Bytes Welcome to the first issue of THE GOREAN VOICE, an online monthly magazine catering to fans of the Gorean novels by John Norman, and to those who have taken the philosophy in them to heart and into their lives.

This humble effort has been a dream of a few of us for a while now, a forum to move the interest in Gorean issues away from a contentious online existence toward the mainstream and closer to our lives. A forum where one who is a fan of the fiction can read and enjoy and learn as much as one who patterns his life after the philosophy the books describe. To that end, we will present a mix of fan fiction, comment, features and humor all aimed at those with an interest in things Gorean.

We welcome e-mail literary submissions on all things Gorean to GOREAN_VOICE@hotmail.com

In this issue, we feature the debut of two regular columnists. Mastiff will be looking at the humorous side of things Gorean, while Jarl will explore the philosophy and the lifestyle.

In the fiction section, sterva{Bg} sends in a little tale about a slave girl's curiosity and what it earns her.

sasha{Bear} whips up a few recipes in the kitchen and shares them with all. The girl also spent some time with others online, listening to them speak about what Gor is to them and she shares their thoughts with us.

aria is a girl who just began her journey into the Gorean lifestyle and she will be sharing, off an on, her thoughts as she learns and grows. This issue, she begins this semi-regular feature.

And in the cartoon section, we have Opal's wonderfully funny cartoons, which I hope we see more of in the future, despite her plea for a full-time cartoonist.

I encourage all to click on the VISION MAGAZINE GOR site and read about the future of the Gor license, the new paperbound magazine and the eagerly awaited 26th book in the series "Witness of Gor". There is even a bit of the book posted there for your enjoyment. Support Vision folks, I cannot stress this enough, they are the future of Gorean fiction by John Norman.

And finally, I encourage all who have an interest to write to us here at THE VOICE. Letters, compliments, threats, whatever. We appreciate the input. And I remind you all that there is a link for writers guidelines on the left.

With that, I am off for a month. Until we meet here again...

I wish you well.
