A Tarn’s Eye View Tal! Welcome to the 84th issue of The Gorean Voice.
In this Issue In the Booknotes department, Socrates continues the Jason Marshall chronicles, Rogue of Gor, chapters ten through twenty. The three Jason books seem to be the most difficult for fans of the Gor series, and the summaries by Socrates show well the teasing, sometimes painful transformation of Jason into a model Gorean. The Guest department continues with the second of three installments of the definitive work by Makaku Oyami examining Gorean greetings. Japanese is used as a reference for understanding how Gorean salutations reflect one’s class and status with respect to the person or persons whom one is acknowledging. This article ranks with the best in serious interpretive Gorean scholarship. The Interviews department is back! TGV has the honor of interviewing Georg Galster regarding his astounding translation project. He has spent years translating Norman’s writings into Danish. He was recently in the process of trying to make the work accessible through Norman’s agent at the time, and our hope is that this can become a reality. The Art department welcomes a new artist. Lan Sur does not yet have an online gallery, but he should have! Check out Spirit of Gor. The Slave Heart department looks at vulnerability with a visual image from kaylee{G} that will make you reflect twice on the phrase, Litttle Vulo. In the Recipes department, holly{B} plans a super brunch and a great later meal for Father’s Day and gives gift ideas that can involve the whole family. In the Health department, as promised, prism spotlights certain sexually transmitted diseases, including some that people do not first think of. The new Cross-Roads department starts with prism laying out with uncompromising honesty the reality that people often have contradictory feelings leading to self-doubt, and then providing a word of comfort that sets the message of the column, that life can and will work out. The deatils of that are left for the months ahead. Mishel’s classy Crossword Puzzles feature 62 words on covering Chapters 17-22 on the Fighting Slave of Gor Crossword this month. Lady Florence gets her revenge and Lady Melpomene gets her comeuppance! Jason becomes the champion of five stables! See it all through the eyes of the new jigsaw (209 pieces) and the crossword this month. Mishel hopes you all enjoy! The Poetry department offers an anti-censorship poem and views of three cities.
Watch for This The Geography, Kajira Korner, Pleasure Gardens departments will return. Because there are always proposed contributions in progress, The Gorean Voice is preparing other really nice surprises for you as well.
Possibilities for Contributors There are many possibilities for contributors. If any of these departments appeals to you as a place where you might find a writing or other artistic niche, and of course, if you have ideas for a new feature and are willing to help, then read the guidelines for authors and let us know! Although some possibilities are more appropriate for one person to manage over time, many departments benefit from many contributors. Even if you are thinking about contributing only once, say, through Gorean humor or a book review or perhaps a poem, you should still contact me.
I wish you well, Hersius
