kajira korner

Greetings, Masters, Mistresses, and kajirae,

Welcome to kajira korner!

This one does apologize for the delay and absence of kajira korner last month as it has been most hectic here. As summer begins so do many plans of family vacations, so kajira begs you to remember to pack lots of water and sunscreen! Please feel free to write kajira korner if there is anything you would like to share from vacations to a humble kajira’s advice. This girl would be most delighted to see how she could help. kajira_korner2002@yahoo.com

Greetings, kajira!

As the one who originally sent the topic/inquiry about a slave when she fails, then having read your reply as well as Master Taybor’s this month, let this one further define her query: this one is not talking about a “feeling” of failure or merely making mistakes ... this one is talking about failure as it is defined by the long-term Gorean community online as well as offline: when a slave chooses willingly to no longer be slave, no longer be obedient or to live her life subservient to the one she had been collared to. What then? How do you pick up the pieces then when that belief and way of life has been something you believed in with everything you are? What of your sacrificed integrity you built living as slave after having to walk away from that life? How can you move on after such a failure and loss? Even if the master failed the slave, she is not allowed to think that way and it serves nothing - the Gorean philosophy is all about personal responsibility and the former slave is the one who willingly chose to fail and walk away, for whatever reason. She is damaged goods and, again also to the Gorean philosophy online as well as offline, no longer of any worth or value. You would think after months since this happened I would have a better clue as to how to move on, but I don’t. There is a big difference between just a mistake versus complete failure and, sometimes, all the talking in the world can’t prevent having to make that choice. Living with the consequences of making that choice was why I wrote to you in the first place ... because I don’t know how.

Dear kajira sister,

There are so many ways to take this and turn it to what may or may not help you. This girl will take it from her own standpoint, having been where you are once upon a time herself. This might be a great time to reflect upon yourself and what is in your heart. A great master once had a girl do something that might just help you here. Light a candle and sit in a room alone for a bit and think of everything that has brought you to this point. Make two colums on a peice of paper. Here you will need to list the differences between what you are feeling and what you are being told. The free have obligations that they take into hand when they chose to take on a kajira/kajirus. That does not mean all free can add up to each slave’s individual needs. Note kajira said “needs”, as sometimes what we desire is not always what we need. On the back of that paper write out the pros and cons for you to remain in the lifestyle. Afterwards, allow yourself time to look at the facts of your heart. Sometimes it is a heart that has been changed or broken that finds itself leaving Gor for a bit. Even if you take a break, it’s ok. Goreans will always be around. The Gorean philosophy that holds true to honor and integrity will usually allow people, when they have found themselves again, time to return to where their heart has brought them. This kajira has made many mistakes. For her, it is not failure in that in which she has screwed up, it is a lesson learned. A kajira is after all only human as well. For a kajira who has chosen the path simular yours, it is imparative that you write the facts and opinions down and follow your heart. Another kajira could not tell you where your heart lies. This kajira will say a prayer that you find the answers in your heart and mind soon. When or if your ready to come back, it is simply put like this, once a kajira is released and regains a new master or home on or offline, her past is just that, a past, and each person, free and slave alike, will have a past, whether they chose to talk about it or not.
