Impalement of Free Women

The last few weeks I’ve had a few conversations with free women that are either new, or just coming to irc, and the questions asked have been how does a woman that is free follow the jist of what irc represents, how do they respond to forced collarings, the testings so to speak?

It is very simple, listed below are rules by the book of what would draw a fellow to bring a woman to her knees. It was the basic protacol that was expected of a woman of that station. A free woman lived a protected and guarded life, and the more the wealth in her heritage the more she was kept out of the eyes of rogues and the like. We can apply these rules, or the foundation of these rules to our daily lives for the most part.

Formal charges upon a Free Woman which indicate suitability to be collared:

1) Fraud, theft, vagrancy, indigent, prostitution, and treachery

Looking at rule one we can see that the fraud of who we are as women was highly disappointing, to represent ourselves in an honest, and decent matter was the only acceptable choice. Theft is a law of our own society which of course should be adhered to, common sense really in that area. Prostitution, is a highly debated topic. We do not sell ourselves for coin, it is demeaning, and below us, there is other means in which to support our families, and friends if need be. Besides the fact of potential drug use, and death in that occupation, please consider the damage it can bring you mentally.

2) Baring of arms, legs, or face, in public, depending on the city

In society and dependant on weather, it is reality that in dress code we wear shorts on a summer day, or a bathing suit to a beach with our children. This is common sense telling us to depend on the city in which we live. I have always looked at this rule as, would you strip down in front of men of Gor and then expect them to keep their distance or not use you in the way you presented yourself? No. You would wear appropriate clothes for the correct situation always remembering you are a free woman and have certain responsiblity in presenting yourself as a lady at all times.

3) Having pierced ears, depending on the city

I have pierced ears, two holes on each. Does this confirm in my secret heart I wish a collar, and that is that? No. It simply says I was 5 years old and my mother thought it was pretty. Common sense.

4) Indulgence in sensuous dance

What would be considered sensuous dance in today’s times? Im going to have to say in logical content that working for a strip club would be a no no for a woman of free standing. Income barred it just doesn’t fit the axiom of what a free woman stands for.

5) Lack of patriotism, or failing in the common defense of the Home Stone

This is comparative to our community, and the support in which we are bound by to give to that community. If we can not support our home areas with activities, or just sharing the love of where we live how can we have roots, and we all have roots somewhere.

6) Jeopardizing of fellow citizens

Treat others as you would like to be treated. This mandate is not only for free women, it is for all. It should be almost a daily bread that we eat and understand, for it would benefit our daily living on the whole if all conformed to such an act. The act would be simply to treat people decently, based on how we wish to be treated, respectfully. I realize this can not be accomplished with every person, but we should try. We know that this is a me based world, where the needs of self, have become priority with the new generation, if we were to take a few steps back and think about our actions before acting on them, the reaction system would have alot less damage in the long run.

7) Intent to deceive with respect to Caste

This indicator is primarily stating that a free woman should not lie, or assume a caste just for the sake of it. If you wished to apply it to reality, I would say the closest definition would fall under misrespresenting yourself in career fields that are non existant. Deception is never wise when you are trying to achieve a friendship based on trust.

Impalement, death, forced collarings, and humilation tactics are all irc issues, ladies. We live in the millenium, and society has laws to protect women, and men from such things. The legal system is a system that is something to be desired but it is all we have. Why did Norman write free women as he did?

My opinion is he was close, there is a society of women out there that are jealous, competitive, and two faced. The only problem is its not gender specific. Men can and do use the same emotions. On the whole though their thinking is more logial, and black and white. They dont share every detail of their lives as women do. Its nice that there are differences between us, it makes marriage, or alternative relationships so much better in the long run.

My advice to the new ladies on the block, search your heart, use common sense, and be yourself. These three steps will steer you right every time. Irc on the whole has too much BIG role play and not enough enjoyment of the community, and the company of like minded folks. In reality would you sit, and share a table with mean spirited people who would lie to you, or harm you? No. Then don't sit in channels that share that ethos. Seek out the folks that are forthright, and don’t mind helping you with this choice of living.
