A Tarn’s Eye View Tal! Welcome to the 82nd issue of The Gorean Voice.
In this Issue Vanion and BKHOOK again delight us through the Art department! With spring in mind, Vanion shows us Garden Accents and provides a visual perspective on Dominance. BKHOOK portrays a solitary Traveler. In the Booknotes department, Socrates opens the beginning chapters of the second in the Jason Marshall chronicles, Rogue of Gor. The Reviews department brings you a review of the introductions to the Masquerade Books editions of Tarnsman of Gor and Priest-Kings of Gor. The Guest department welcomes an impressive scholar who examines Gorean greetings in the first of three in-depth articles. He uses Japanese as a reference for understanding a topic about which there has been much disagreement. This article ranks with the best in serious reflective Gorean scholarship. Mishel’s incomparable Crossword Puzzles maintain their focus on Jason’s adventures with chapters 11-16 of Fighting Slave of Gor. In the Recipes department, holly{B} puts us in the getting-ready-for-summertime mood now that the Memorial Day month is here. Sometimes we need to again focus on the basics, and in the Health department, prism reminds us of the importance of simple basic hygiene in our busy lives. kaylee{G} again elucidates a concept that should be basic but often causes much confusion and is often difficult to articulate as the Slave Heart department examines The Active Mind. The Poetry department has the honor of introducing a new feature for The Gorean Voice. prism will be coordinating a new column called Cross-roads. Check it out! On more than one occasion, contributors to this magazine have independently chosen complimentary perspectives on similar themes. This month, compare this article with kaylee{G}’s Slave Heart article.
Watch for This The Geography, Kajira Korner, Pleasure Gardens departments will return. Because there are always proposed contributions in progress, The Gorean Voice is preparing other really nice surprises for you as well.
Possibilities for Contributors There are many possibilities for contributors. If any of these departments appeals to you as a place where you might find a writing or other artistic niche, and of course, if you have ideas for a new feature and are willing to help, then read the guidelines for authors and let us know! Although some possibilities are more appropriate for one person to manage over time, many departments benefit from many contributors. Even if you are thinking about contributing only once, say, through Gorean humor or a book review or perhaps a poem, you should still contact me.
