Changes by bonita{R}, kajira of Randy

     Change is a powerful thing, but so difficult. This life that i am leaving behind is all i've known for 37 years, since i was 16 and thought that a 21 year old "man" was so mature and intelligent. laughing quietly, yet with deep sadness Well to a 16 year old who had never had a "boyfriend" i guess he was.

     The years rolled by, there were highs (children being the biggest) and lows.. (infidelity on both sides), violence, fear, attempts at escape followed by more violence and then just quiet indifference.

     Then something happened that unknowingly would change my whole life. While looking at the hot list@soi one day, i saw the Silken Oasis and Master Ro'dan@soi sitting alone. Having been curious about this Gor thing, i stepped inside..... the rest is as they say history.

     Somehow she found the courage to at last leave the pain of this marriage behind, but that is another story and perhaps one day she will write that down as well. All she will say is that its taken the better part of two years to get to the end.

     Being slave was what i had been searching for my whole life, this peaceful surrender of self to serve One. So the journey began, not always easy, but always forward till last July…then the miracle happened.

     Master Berek found her battered emotionally from a painful release, struggling to find her way, yet refusing to give up and leave Gor.. after all she is slave and nothing will ever take her away. He told his Brother, Randy of Rikon Falls about this slave, only later did she find that she had been noticed by him while she still wore her former Master’s collar.

     Collaring her, Master Randy patiently drew her out and back into the light that is Gor. The vt collar became an rt collar, she traveling across country to serve him, then returning home, empty and aching to be back at his feet.

     On the 26th of April, Master flies out to take her home, back to his Home Stone, back to where she blossomed and became all that she had ever dreamed she could be.

     There are still difficult days, she is human and makes mistakes, Master is not one to allow her to go unpunished and thus she has just finished what for her was a harsh task, but she learned from it and will continue to learn.

     Change is good, change is hard, but anything worth having is worth fighting for and this girl has fought and is where she always dreamed of being, at Master's feet.

A girl wishes all who might read this well and never give up seeking that which is worth having.

Greetings Masters, Mistresses, and slaves;

This girl is from PowWow but she writes this letter here because of her concerns regarding all that take this lifestyle seriously and embrace the philosophies within their everyday lives. As kascia sees it, we all have one major thing in common and that is the love of the gorean way. Yet many of us are kept apart.

There are many different venues out there that people involve themselves in. Some venues are small, some are big. All venues have real people that either choose to play games or to embrace this lifestyle and take it seriously. The problem here is that the smaller venues get lost behind the players. For example, two different venues, let's say one is comprised of 100 people and the other is comprised of 1000 people and half of each venue is inhabited by players, 50 players for the small venue and 500 players in the larger one. Now the problem as kascia sees it is this, on the smaller venue only 50 people are left that take this lifestyle seriously and 500 on the larger one. When people come to visit the small one, they will struggle to find the 50 serious ones, where as if they went to the larger venue they would seek out the 500 which might be a bit easier of a task. The smaller one being left with minimal people that take the lifestyle seriously, looks like it is over run with players, as opposed to the larger one where those serious ones are much more abundant. The smaller venue is then cast aside as a player haven and the larger one is looked at as the place to find the "real" ones. The numbers kascia used were merely an example, in fact she feels the more accurate ratio would be 95 players to 5 that takes this lifestyle seriously.

The problem here is that serious ones from the smaller venues get lost, un-noticed and clumped into the player pile only because they chose to stay in a smaller program. Perhaps the program they chose to stay in was more user friendly for them, making them more comfortable when online. There are many reasons one might choose to stay. Regardless of what chat program they choose to use, they are either serious or they aren't. One should not be judged by the venue they choose, they should be judged by their willingness, eagerness to learn, their love of the gorean lifestyle. Sadly that is not always looked at.

Should people that share a common love and respect for this lifestyle be kept apart just because of a program? Seriously, kascia doesn't think so. Here we have the internet that provides us a way to bring literally billions of people together from all over the world and yet we stay seperated because of the chat medium we choose to use. If over the years blacks, whites, hispanics etc, can come together, then why as a group of moral citizens, can't we? All of us that take this lifestyle seriously share a common bond and that is what should bring us together and keep us there. It's a sad day when something so trivial can keep us apart.

kascia wishes all well this day and surely hopes her ramblings have been found pleasing by all
