Part XI - Philosophy

During the Dark Ages, the fabled time of King Arthur...there was a general philosophy held by the knights and lords...the "petty kingdoms" of the island of England, including the Scottish realms. This was the philosophy of "Might Makes Right".

There is actually a lot to that statement, although there is a lot that is left out of the general idea of "might". Most people then thought of it as the brute, physical strength, which most all men of arms would have to have back then. Let's face it, carrying an 80-pound trashcan on your body was no easy feat.

But give me the biggest and strongest man, a well placed arrow will still find his throat, or eye, or any other exposed area.

To be able to temper the pure physical strength, with the strength of will, and stamina, to be able to out maneuver and ultimately outperform the "bigger guy". THIS is the true secret to "Might".

We are a lifestyle based on this ideal...the principles that Darwin set forth, that of the survival of the fittest. We come together, because we see the downward trend our society has taken in the recent past, and we know that if it is allowed to continue, that our society will fall apart -- the weakening of our race, and eventually, the end of it.

It isn't about dehumanization...I don't see how anyone is treated in a relationship based on the Gorean lifestyle as anything but truly humane...the female who submits fully to her man, in all things, because she knows her place, and accepts it. There is no place for someone weak; the lifestyle is not easy, and there are no allowances made because someone isn't strong enough to take care of themselves. Nor will their hand be held along the way. Questions get answered, sometimes in a vague way...but the work in learning pays off in the end.

The Gorean lifestyle is nothing more than a way of living life, based on the ideals and philosophy which has lasted for hundreds of years, and been prevalent through societies and communities for thousands of years. From the first tribal gatherings, to even modern society...this is a male-dominant society...

...to think otherwise, is folly...

I wish you well,
