What to wear, what to wear :)

and meeting with Goreans for the first time

Tal and greetings everyone,

This month I will touch on a very light subject "how should a free woman dress".

And a not so light subject "that first meeting between Goreans"

.

These subjects have both been addressed and commented upon lately in an email one list for free women.

I believe many free women if not all, must have at some point asked and worried themselves over those very questions. So for the benefit of those that do not belong to the one list, and others that are not necessarily free women but still curious :) I will shared the thoughts and ideas that were offered in that thread.

I will not say who said what, but simply share the information gathered, however I will thank all those that participated in the thread especially, Nyre, Sierra`Irsei, Rhianna, Bright, Elsa? Or Ilsa? And anybody else whom I may have not named.

The most frequent comment :

Wear what makes you comfortable :)

Some of you may think that free women need to go and cover themselves up with layers and layers of cloth to hide every inch of skin from the observing eye, if so you will be disappointed. (grin)

On the subject of what to wear :

          Most of us, dress casually.

The only restriction that was phrased could be put thusly "don't be provocative".

Some of us, prefer to wear dresses or skirts cut loosely meaning no skin tight garments :).

Blouses and soft materials seem to be popular.

Slacks and jeans even are allowed, if not actually considered very feminine.

No you don't need to wear a veil if you are meeting up with Gorean men.

The key thing seemed to be, dress feminely enough yet shy away from the provocative look.

In short anything goes, as long as you don't overdo it.

So there you have it, the low down on the Gorean garb of the free woman, nothing in particular that would make any of us stand out in a crowd I'm afraid.

On the subject of what to wear when meeting with Goreans :

The most valuable comment :

You will not be judged by your clothes but by your actions and words.

It is enough pressure I think, to go and meet with other Goreans for the first time without adding pressure on yourself by dressing up into something *just for the occasion* that you are not comfortable with.

On the subject of how to act when meeting with Goreans :

The overall and only answer

           Be yourself.

You can never go wrong with that answer :)

Well wishes everyone
