Awards

The Gorean Voice recognizes, that there are a lot of web pages claiming to be Gorean. In viewing many, if not most of them, we find few that follow closely the writings, of John Norman, and tend to portray the html authors' vision of Gor.
In that light, The Gorean Voice has an award that will be given monthly , to sites, that in its' opinion, are NOT representative of the Gorean way; but in fact are grossly false, or misleading. Fill out the application below, to have a gorean website considered for this very prestigous award.

The Month of March 1999 this awards goes to......taaa, daaaaaa (bugles blare)

Hood and Leash Inn - DalNet - http://members.xoom.com/HoodandLeash/index.htm

for pages, including this tiny gem of wisdom:

Dear Patrons of the Hood and Leash Inn:

You may have noticed a difference between the way the Hood & Leash does things, and other Gorean channels or mushes you have visited. There are a few reasons for this, that I wished to share with you all. These are not just decisions made by me on a whim, but instead things that I have given considerable time and thought to. So bear with me, and read on... I may not convince you my way is better, but I hope that I can explain well enough that you will respect my choices.

. The most obvious change I think you'll see is that there are women within the Inn who are Free and Warrior. On the Gor described in John Norman's novels, this would not happen... but as I try to keep in mind, this is also not that Gor. This is a Gor of our own making, and it has many rules which do not match those in the books. My reasoning behind allowing this is thus: a woman who has the Honour and skill to be a Warrior must be *better* than any man on Gor... simply by virtue of being the gender she is. Any woman who enters my Inn with the weapons and dress of a Warrior, and also conducts herself within the Codes, and with that much honour, deserves to be treated well. Any who conduct themselves *without* honour will, of course, be ignored. .

I will also answer questions if people have them, which you may direct to me at: hoodandleash@xoommail.com. I will answer it as quickly as possible, but please have patience.

Orpine of Koroba x
