A Tarn’s Eye View Tal! Welcome to the February, 2006 edition, which is Volume VIII Issue 8, and is the 92nd issue of The Gorean Voice. We will soon be directly linking the German Edition of The Gorean Voice to our pages - probably with the March edition. In the meantime, here is the link to the German Edition of The Gorean Voice: http://www.germangor.de/tgv/tgv.shtml. Because the German Edition is a translation of what we publish, expect some lag time between the English and German versions. We are working on lessening the wait! We continue to be pleased at the response to our reactivated email notification system! You can receive an email when each issue of The Gorean Voice is available for viewing, so if you have not already done so, please sign up! As always, your confidentiality is honored when you sign up.
In this Issue In the Booknotes department, Socrates continues Blood Brothers of Gor, as events take a turn toward seeming to come out well, only to then have the plot thicken again as Norman so skillfully does. The Philosophy department makes a brief re-appearance to reaffirm some biological fundamentals. In the Recipes department, holly{B} will be taking a 2-month hiatus and will return to our pages with the April issue. The Geography department also takes a break for the month and promises to return with coastal Torvaldsland while the weather well north of Earth’s equator still evokes such images. This just in from the Crosswords department, as Mishel returns from her honeymoon: “Tal and fine Greetings my fellow Puzzlers! Did you miss me? Just kidding. But I missed you all. This month I have ‘All you ever wanted to know about Gorean ships but were afraid to ask!’ Yes, sorry ladies but it is definitely the turn for the men. And if we shall have romantic ideas, let it be for our strong warriors who fought so valiantly on the Vosk waters against the pirates of Ragnar Voskjard. Find out what was claimed as prize and what was lost in this month’s puzzle of 55 words. Enjoy rebuilding the ship in this month’s jigsaw of only 247 pieces! Please make note that the Archives are down for revamping to have a cleaner more accessible look. I shall have them rebuilt as soon as possible. I thank you most humbly for your patience. My love to you all, Mrs. Mishel” prism is back with the Crossroads department, this month with more hard-hitting truths. Way to go, prism!
Watch for This The Art and Geography and Recipes departments will be back! We may have an astronomical visual treat soon ... as well as more to the map. Because there are always proposed contributions in progress, The Gorean Voice is preparing other really nice surprises for you as well.
Possibilities for Contributors There are many possibilities for contributors. If any of these departments appeals to you as a place where you might find a writing or other artistic niche, and of course, if you have ideas for a new feature and are willing to help, then read the guidelines for authors and let us know! Although some possibilities are more appropriate for one person to manage over time, many departments benefit from many contributors. Even if you are thinking about contributing only once, say, through Gorean humor or a book review or perhaps a poem, you should still contact me.
I wish you well, Hersius
