A Tarn’s Eye View Tal! Welcome to the 79th issue of The Gorean Voice.
In this Issue The Art department again brings you Vanion! In the Booknotes department, Socrates continues the Fighting Slave of Gor adventure that introduces Jason Marshall. The Geography department brings you notes on The Rainforests Coasts. The Maps and Scenic Images department adds a perfect image of Thassa on a calm day. Mishel’s rockin’ Crossword Puzzles continue to please with the latest installment of Explorers of Gor. kaylee{G} tells it like it is for those who insist on spending time and emotion Looking for the Loophole in the Slave Heart department. The Recipes department gets us ready for Super Bowl Sunday and Valentine’s Day, courtesy of our own holly{B}. In the Health department, prism gives a talk that goes straight to the heart. Remember that being as healthy as you can is the best gift you can ever give your loved ones.
Meditation: Be Who You Are I have observed an identity-theft situation recently. kaylee{G} comments about how some people think of each other in unreal ways. holly{B} focuses on food and the group identity at festive times. prism brings us back to the self-awareness of our own bodies. We are who we are. It is not only OK that we be who we are, it is vital that we do so. Self-acceptance, and, in our own way, self-proclamation is simply another way of referring to the gusto of life. Socrates writes about Jason starting to blossom in his new life, and through the series Jason does in fact celebrate the person he discovers himself to be. One of the themes throughout the series is that people celebrate who they discover they are. Health denial, relationship denial, identity denial ... these are not worthy of ourselves and those we hold dear. Be who you are. Make the decisions that are right for you. And then present yourself to the world.
Watch for This The Kajira Korner, Pleasure Gardens, and Reviews departments will return. Because there are always proposed contributions in progress, The Gorean Voice is preparing other really nice surprises for you as well.
Possibilities for Contributors There are many possibilities for contributors. If any of these departments appeals to you as a place where you might find a writing or other artistic niche, and of course, if you have ideas for a new feature and are willing to help, then read the guidelines for authors and let us know! Although some possibilities are more appropriate for one person to manage over time, many departments benefit from many contributors. Even if you are thinking about contributing only once, say, through Gorean humor or a book review or perhaps a poem, you should still contact me.
I wish you well, Hersius
