The Struggle

Daily struggle..inner flight
a heart that lives within the screams.
Never taught just how to fight
never living past her dreams.
She wonders how to balance life
to be the all she needs to be.
Mother, lover, slave, and wife
can any feel the "her" she see's?
Silence covers like a shroud
fears instilled from bygone days,
the heart cries out in voice not loud,
fearful what the world might say.
She watches freedoms carefree words
and ponders each as she devours.
Does the truth lie hidden in the meat
or do they too just waste her hours?
A lonely path for seeking heart,
filled with stumbling blocks and mire.
A place of beauty at the start,
but can the truth be filled with liars?
So on, the heart moves slowly forth,
mindful tasks till set of sun,
seeking truth within two worlds,
melding two to make her one.
