FEAR

Terror filled, gripping at her heart
blood pumping faster through veins
tugging inside, being torn apart
feeling like she’s going insane

no sounds emit from parted lips
trembling as she tries to hide
His words reverberating through
pounding their way deep inside
mouth opening.. finding words to speak
as the damage has already been done
a heartfelt apology is all she has
unsure if it’s good enough for One
self realization hitting deep inside
wanting so much to do everything right
struggling so hard within herself
to find that guiding path in life
frightened to a measure beyond compare
displeasure from Any felt deep inside
vowing silently to remember whom she is
hoping the fear will some day subside
