Several years ago I stumbled onto Gor, a rather dazed and bewildered transplant from Earth. It happened that I plopped down just outside of KoRoba. I found a small close-knit band of Goreans there. They were all very helpful and knowledgeable. Eventually, I was accepted to be a part of that home stone. As a Musician of Gor I frequently travel, but My heart is still with the Towers of the Morning. One of the great Men of that long ago place was an Ironworker named KillerTrees. An occasion came when He surrounded the neck of a beautiful girl called rose with His steel and named her tyki{KTs}. They are My dear friends to this day. I wrote a song for that occasion named "Tears of Gold". I gifted it to KillerTrees as a .wav file and it has now been downloaded and shared by Goreans all over the web. This is My last contribution to "The Gorean Voice" for a while. I committed to six months and Im going to take a little time off to study other computer music technologies. This Midi format simply is not doing what I think Gorean music would sound like. I did want this piece to be reminiscent of the one I published so long ago. I talked to KillerTrees and He has graciously permitted Me to use elements from "Tears of Gold" in this offering: "Curulean_Night.mid". For that I am truly thankful. This piece was commissioned by Bondage nets Valerian. He has researched the books carefully and found a description of Gorean "Block Melodies", which serve as the inspiration for this tune. In this piece, blaring trumpets announce the arrival of a new shipment of girls. Sensuous music is played as slaves are displayed up on the auction block. One might imagine a hapless slave girl, naked, turning, dancing, feet fresh from the sawdust. With a crowd of Men studying her every nuance, she desperately hopes to be found pleasing, to bring a good price. With this scene in mind, I offer you Decembers Gorean tune, I hope that you find it entertaining. Valerian has received this song and approved its publication. In an act of generosity, He gave it to the training hall on Bondage net known as the #Jewels_of_Gor. Just to keep the records straight, here are the Owners of the various pieces Ive published: KillerTrees : TearsOfGold.wav (evidence that not all musicians can sing) #The_Lara_Inn : Lara_10.mid #Silk&Shield : SongOfAr.mid #Turian_Inn : TurianGates.mid & Fire_on_the_plains.mid #Jewels_of_Gor : Curulean_night.mid I have kept two for Myself: One is for when My home stone is rebuilt. On that day, I will play Hills_of_Koroba.mid from its highest tower. But the most important one, bahni.mid, belongs to Me alone and always will. With that, I thank you all for your suggestions, ideas and encouragement. I truly do wish you all well.
