Resolutions By lissa Greetings Masters,
lissa hopes that everyone had a wonderful christmas and a happy and safe new year celebration. As the new year begins most are making resolutions and trying to better themselves. Many of those resolutions will never see more than a week or so of life. While lissa tries not to make resolutions she is going to try to make herself a better person this year. She's been thinking alot of what she could possibly do. As a slave with no owner it's a difficult task to undertake. She is reminded of a girl she knows, who tried to better herself before she was owned, so that she would be even more valuable. She learned how to cook. Well, she learned how to cook more and exciting things. Things that would delite a palate and have him sitting there with a huge, satisfied look. Then when she became owned, she discovered he was perfectly content with ordering pizza a couple nights a week, and living on hamburgers and french fries the rest. Simple meals were his favorite and there she was with knowledge that she would never use. lissa has tried to put herself in the position of a man, to try to understand what it is he would feel that he needed her to do, to make herself a better slave. And just as men say that you can't get into the mindset of a woman. It's equally difficult to get into the mindset of a man. We both just deal with things far too differently. So, lissa has decided that a little selfishness, for lack of any better word, is the way she will go. There is no way to predetermine who will own her, if anyone. There is no way to tell what he will like or dislike about her. She must decide for herself what it is she wants to change, or modify and hope that it is found pleasing to someone else. For now lissa will be tackling the big issues of her life, the ones that most of you have done successfully, or are still struggling with. Or perhaps you are one of the blessed and these issues do not concern you, and you are working on something else. For lissa her issues are smoking, and weight. Smoking is the one she's focusing on right now, and it's not as easy for her to conquer as she had orginially thought. She's talked to various people who have been successful in quitting and tried various methods of theirs. Needless to say it worked for 2 days and as lissa writes this column she is smoking once more. Albeit the nastiest cigarette she could find, but none the less, she's doing it, and finding pleasure in doing so. What a difficult road this will be, but hopefully at the end it will be a smoke free one. And not for any other reason that she's sick to death of this habit. Sick of paying the outrageous prices for them, the smell of them, and the fact that she can barely manage a flight of stairs without becoming winded. That's the harsh reality of what she's allowed herself to become, and there are some things she is going to change. Or it will kill her.
