From the editor: This month Jarl LongKnife steps in to give a quick history of the origin of runes here on earth, and a description of the original runes.

Northern Birth Runes

Runes are an ancient northern European alphabet with strong magical content. They all have reversable meanings, giving a clue to the multi - dimensional nature of the gods of the north. As well as the runes themselves there are many runic symbols, all with magical connotations. The runes of the Vikings are divided into 16 Mal’s of the year and ruled as that period. If born in that period that rune would be your personal birth rune.
