Here we are again, with another Gorean Tarot reading. These readings are something synne has used for introspection, self-therapy of a sort, and for learning how to view her problems objectively. The cards tend to direct her attention places it would normally never wander, allowing her to catch insights she would not without having it pointed out to her. She hopes the same kind of guidance finds its way to those who take the time to read the readings each month.
synne would like to take a moment to thank those of you who take the time to read this column from month to month. She has always enjoyed the Voice, and sincerely hopes she can contribute to others enjoying it as well. She begs, if you are curious, or would like to volunteer to be the next name in lights, please just email the Voice
and say so! synne can read for strangers as well as friends, and enjoys it immensely.
Once again, thank you to those who have taken the time to write in for readings. It is always something a little fun, a little silly, and maybe... something to make one think a little bit. *smiles* Here's hoping you enjoy, and that more of you avid fans (yep, synne is full of herself *grins*) will write in again.
Thank you,
synne
This first reading is for RAVENHAWK28.

Eight of Staffs - In the first position, a card often refers to either
what has led up to this point, or underlying factors. This card speaks
of quick action, reaching a conclusion, or recieving news. Now is the
time to act, all the events have been set in motion, all that is left
is to implement your plans and see how it works out. This card might
also mean that you are about to learn something important. Stay alert,
and pay attention, because the news you are going to recieve might not
be all that obvious at first. This card also represents endings,
reaching a conclusion, the way things turn out. Feel free to celebrate
the past, and what has come to an end, but remember to look forward
with your actions, move on.
The Entertainer - In the second position, a card often represents the
dilemma at hand, or the current situation. This card stands for
action, conscious awareness, concentration, and power. The Entertainer
believes in himself. He is not afraid to stand before a crowd, and do
what he knows he can. Failure is not something that even enters his
mind, because he knows he is good at what he does. He takes the time
to be aware of those around him, and to know his situation. He siezes
the power to affect people's perceptions, and to perform to the best of
his ability. The forces of creativity are backing you one hundred
percent... Just be aware, and concentrate, now is the time to act.
Everything you want can be yours if you take the time to know what you
are doing, and do it well.
Nine of Staffs - Reversed - A card in the third position often
represents either the outcome of the current situation, a tool to
achieve the desired outcome, or a warning of what might happen if you
are not careful. When a card is reversed, that means its particular
energies are lessened, or in some case are not lessened, but perhaps
you are working against them instead of harnessing them properly.
Defensiveness, perseverence and stamina are the key traits of this
card. Be careful, do not allow yourself to be hurt simply because you
were not on guard. Do not allow yourself to lose because you couldnt
follow your own actions and plans through. It may take work, even alot
of it, and it may be difficult and require you to stand strong even
when you don't feel you can... But if you do, you can and will
prevail. Don't give up, instead be worthy of your goals.

This second reading is for Richard Page.

Two of Shields - Reversed - In the first position, a card often refers
to either what has led up to this point, or underlying factors. When a
card is reversed, that means its particular energies are lessened, or
in some case are not lessened, but perhaps you are working against them
instead of harnessing them properly. The two of shields suggests
juggling, flexibility, and fun. It speaks of finding the balance
between the important things and enjoying doing so. There is nothing
quite like the feeling of being graceful and effective at the same
time. This card lets you know that you can juggle all demands made
upon you. In fact, you will relish the excitement of every hurdle. If
you do not feel this level of confidence right now, this card asks you
to believe in yourself. You have all you need to meet your every goal
and more. Embrace the challenge. Remember to go with the flow, and
above all, enjoy doing well!
Youth of Shields - In the second position, a card often represents the
dilemma at hand, or the current situation. The Youths are messengers.
They deliver gestures of spirit - opportunities offered to you to
change your destiny. A gesture may be small (a bit of news, passing
comment or casual encounter) or huge (a major turning point), but it
always asks you to make a choice. Will you go or stay, accept or
decline? What you decide makes all the difference. This particular
Youth offers gestures of prosperity. He encourages you to sample the
wonders of the Shields suit - wealth, abundance, security and solid
achievement. Look for an opening that promises enrichment, comfort,
trust or the chance to make your dreams real. This card can indicate
pleasure and real-world enjoyment. As a child, the Youth of Shields
encourages you to have fun with your body, skills and possessions in a
light-hearted way. Revel in the delights of being alive on the Earth at
this time.
Master of Staffs - A card in the third position often represents either
the outcome of the current situation, a tool to achieve the desired
outcome, or a warning of what might happen if you are not careful. The
Master of Staffs is creative, inspiring, forceful, charismatic, and
bold. He is, naturally, the Master of the quality of the staffs suit.
The emphasis of a Master of any suit, is on behaviour. His actions,
the way he carries himself day to day, these are the things to note.
When a Master appears in a reading, you are being reminded gently to
try to behave more like him. True, he is an ideal, and you may fall
short, but remember that you can only improve yourself by struggling to
adopt the behaviours of such a fantastic role model. The Master may
also represent someone, male or female, who embodies his
characteristics. If this is the case, perhaps you need to be paying a
bit more attention to that person, learning from him or her.
Until next month, synne wishes you well!
