Subject: My reaction to Marcus_of_Ar's comments
Date: Tue, 05 Oct 1999 05:50:55 -0500
Tal and Greetings,

I sat here reading what Marcus wrote about the theft of his work and felt physically sick that he has been so violated in such a personal way. The things we write come from our own hearts and souls, and the soul of Marcus shines forth with the brilliant splendor of a blue-white diamond.

I am so sad that he has had to be subjected to the ill manners and crass behaviors of what I can only describe as " encroaching horrendous little poisonous mushrooms," being the Lady that I am. What a tragic shame that the rest of us will be denied the opportunity to see the fruits of his work, effort and creativity due to the behaviors of felons and poltroons.

There is only one piece of stone that I have wept over in my lifetime. I saw/touched it this past summer...the Keystone in the center of Stonehenge. For the first time in my life I had a sense of what a homestone truly means when I stood facing into the setting sun with my bare feet against that piece of granite, after having been on the Glastonbury Tor earlier that same day during the Solar eclipse. ( I have a picture taken by a dear friend to substantiate/capture this moment for me for the rest of my life) England is home, and Stonehenge, for me, is the "center" of England much as Sardar is the "center" of Gor. I suppose to some the keystone is just a piece of rock sticking up out of the grass, but for me , I see that stone that has been there since the dawn of time, and it is a statement that " ...There will always be an England..."

Thank you Marcus for your devotion and dedication to Gor and your continual efforts to assist and educate persons like myself who are still green learners. My thanks to Bear, Pantheus and Opal and the many others who work such long hours to give people like me an opportunity to read this publication.

I wish you well.~Amaneris~

ps. I think the Rotten Tospit Award is hilarious. I cannot decide which is more appalling: that there has to be such an *award* or that there are so many contenders.~A~

Thank you for your kind words. It is our pleasure to provide you and the community with the work and glad it is appreciated.

Tal and Greetings Marcus,

I have just finished reading your scroll You placed intothe Gorean Voice and it brings much sorrow to My heart and soul, and yes even placed a real tear upon My cheek. For granted I am new onto the planet of Gor I have come to learn, respect, and Yes even love Her as though She was My birth mother. And everyday brings something new to My senses and adds to My knowledge and understanding of Her ways and a smile upon My Heart and soul. For unfortunately it brings great pain toMe to find such as You have stated a being true as through My own goings through and searching upon and trying to drench My thirst for knowledge Have I Myself been witness to many of these places using Your works in Their Writings.

And it pains Me to see such a fountain of knowledge and a honest and true love for Her now dying and closing it's doors, because of the actions of few.For I have read through Your site and found the amount and quality of knowledge there beyond compare, and as intoxicating as watching a kajira dance upon the floor trying to please her Master. For it was through such that My eyes, and heart were opened to Her.And hopefully such knowledge will be able to be passed on to of Us who come upon Her Shores in the future, for to lose such a fountain of knowledge and access to it GrandFarther (and yes I know exactly Why i chose to use that term there. For the amount of knowledge, kindness, generosity, and the sheer openness of which You share with all of us, is that of a grandfather sitting upon the front of His Homestone with the children drew close by His side as He passes on His knowledge and years of learning and experience onto those in front of/by Him to learn by and from.As He gives from and of Himself in His tales, and does so without hesitation or forethought to it.For it as natural to Him as the rest of Us breathing and is truly an Honor..) would be that of the most heinous of crimes, but unfortunatlly upon the times that We are now upon it is as much as it pains Me to say regrettably understandable.

Your words, and knowledge will be sorely missed by those of Us who have come to learn, love and cherish them dearly. And unto those yet to of heard of Your speakings They will never know the joy,or pleasure of Your knowledge that is so rich and deep. And all I can do is shake My head in disgust for unto those who have so unwittingly or just didnt care have caused such a scar unto Her and all of Her children. For not only have They dishonored themselves but they have caused and robbed a treasure from all of us that can never be replaced.

Be Well and May the Winds be Gentle,

TIMmORON

Master Bear and all that have been so true to the ways of Gor.

this one has been a slave of Gor for many years and known or heard of all Master's here and she begs deeply with all her respect of the Master's for one question...

As in GorCork and other places so free a girl sees slaves speak so freely... It took so much for this one to write...but she does so only to know one thing...

what happened to the Gor a girl learned ....loved...respected..and served her best in??she cannot find this anymore? Is there another place she is not seeking or is it her? this one...is still as she was...but as changes do occur daily in all walks..what is a slave to do as she always wore a ko-lar so proudly so and so honoured her Master and Homestone...

sorry...this one sounds a bit lost but yes!! that is a girls point....where is Gor anymore...?????

Thank You Master's for listening and Your time....

and a reply

greetings girl,

The Gor that John Norman wrote about has not changed one iota since he put words on a page. Perhaps the places you are going, and the people you are seeing, are not what you seek. The answer lies within yourself, to find just how you have changed, and what, if anything you can do about it.

Everything changes, we all do, and we are not the same person, we once were. You know, one simply can't go back, one must go forward.

be well, in that journey .. and don't take any ko-lars, it is collar.
