The tattered beggar sleeps alone
Scavenged trinkets tossed to dust,
his only cherished prize.
In threadbare rags he shakes His fist,
an anguished cry his life.
Warriors strong bear sword and shield,
thrill Ar their tales of gold.
From shadow's hide the beggar mocks,
his pride for copper sold.
Smugly he deceives himself;
"To blame my need is theirs.
My proof, my strength is theft and dark
my plot to lay the snare".
A tunic stole of scarlet caste
conceals his final shame.
This beggar's trap in life was set
by him that wears his name.
From sky blue heights, great tarns in flight,
they see what lives below.
A lesser man cannot be great,
small deeds his nature show.

You wonder through life at your own pace ..... Do you linger over a flower's beauty? As it's petals slowly unfold under the warmth of the sun ..... Do you slow down and watch in wonder As a child struggles up to take his first steps ..... Do your steps lead you to a tree stump? On a deserted beach ..... Do you sit down and spend hours Lost in the movements of the waves dying on the shores ..... Do you grow sleepy and content? As the sun makes once more its journey beyond the horizon ..... Do your feet take you to a meadow? On a cloudy day, when the sun hides behind clouds ..... Do you lay down on the wet grass and earth? With the sky above you ..... Do you breathe in nature's perfume? The special blend of then earth's scent ..... Do you walk outside when it rains? Lifting your face to feel tiny kisses of raindrops ..... Do you pause, your lips curved with a smile When hand in hand a happy couple passes by ..... Do you linger over a meal? Allowing each morsel to melt in your mouth ..... Do you savor the flavors? Distinguishing each spice as it teases your senses ..... Do you watch your lover as they sleep? Studying the lines of their faces so innocent in sleep ..... Do you lean closer and with a light touch Trace their features remembering what makes your love so strong ..... Do you wrap your arms around yourself? Shivering with the sheer pleasure Of being alive. ..... You live life at your own pace But you can only savor life At a leisure pace... ..... Rakella |

Once long ago You said them easily Their meanings misunderstood It was easy back then You did not know then What you know now No one had ever told you That these words were sacred
Today the words stay unspoken
Words you use to casually toss around
When the truth of it came out
In a time long forgotten
Today the words stay unspoken
The next time you say Rakella |

"The Tarnsman"
The tarnsman hurls his mount aloft And feels his spirit soar The wind roars past, both hard and soft It thrills him to the core
Gor falls away beneath his feet
Rising, laughing, man and bird
He sits astride his winged steed
Majestic views he shares with none
"Ta-Sardar Gor!" the warrior cries
But when the beast begins to tire
So they alight, he grooms his tarn
For the pleasures he can find on land
Before the dawn he springs awake JuliaMarie |

she looks up for a brief moment trying to hide her shivering body and curious eyes behind the comforting well-known kneel feeling her belly tremble by the sight that meets her and fear overwhelms her without notice scared and unworthy of being here here in the same room as Goreans breathing in the same air as them being allowed to be in their presense
she senses the strength that fills the room
she casts her eyes down again
she inhales deeply as she watches the room khiia |

In the distance thunder rolls Caught outside you startle Raising your head you watch As dark clouds gather close
In the bright flash of a lightning bolt
Closer now thunder roars
With a mighty flash
You start to run, heedless of destination
As clothes stick to your body
Somewhere behind you a tree is struck
Somewhere from the corner of a frightened eye
Stumbling and running you run towards salvation
The light grows nearer and nearer
You claw at the door mewing in fear
Once again you startle
Blood drains from your face
Inside waiting calmly Rakella |

As you walk the tender path of life Pluck not what you will from the fields Gather not blossoms of flowers in your hands
As you travel down the road of life
Rather Why is that you ask?
When you reach the end of the road
Share of yourself Rakella. |

A lie A little white lie Told with a little smile A piece of self that dies Unnoticed unmissed
Two lies
5 lies
Lies
Lies
One little white lie Rakella |
