Tal and greetings,

First I apologize to the gorean voice team for not being able to get an article in last month. Time flew by so quickly and as life has it things just happen, I recently found a job again after a 2 year search and am glad my life finally is going back on a regular track of working and making a better living. So, now I sat here and thought of what to write, and this came in my mind.

As my life takes yet another turn, I think back and wonder if a Freewoman would have been able to survive on Gor and keep her respected standard, having to face the modern world problems. I somehow doubt this, yet we FW have to. We are often faced with divorce, raising children alone, working outside the home. As we have taken the philophosy of gor to our hearts. We have to handle things we should not have to, had we a proper family or spouse. I admit some of the freedoms given to us in this society are a plus, but some are like a curse. We have to be strong women to rear our children and make sure they don’t take the wrong turn. Really hard to do when there is not a strong caring male as role model in the home.

Our combining of working, household and children leaves not enough time and we have to keep a constant clear mind and a strong will. We are not allowed to just sit back and watch as life goes on. The feminine movement as really pushed us into circumstances that make it hard on us women. Thinking back to the times where males took care of the women and their kids and the property they had, makes me wonder if we women where happy back then ( besides the cases of abuse) . We had our homes no matter how poor or rich, we had our respect from the family, we where loved and we had values.

I dare say the modern and feminine movement did nothing to help or better the women’s world. I dare say it made it harder. However among the FW I know I have seen the trend to return to the old days. Not meaning being overly conservative but yet to return to a woman’s roots. Even if some of us are single we strive to what we deem right and respectful. I know this is frowned upon by some and that our kids sometimes do not understand our actions, but I do believe that with time the trend to move back to the woman’s motherly roots will succeed and then I do believe we see marriages and families stay together. I know also that in some cases a female will often have to work still outside the home but I do believe it will not be as it used to. Is this wishful thinking on my part, I hope not. Dreaming of a better world an understood world where woman are respected for being submissive and yet strong enough to carry out a leading role in a Family.

I hope all of you understand what I am trying to say, I just have had a rough time fending for myself and my kids and yet raise them in an loving stable and respectable way and still entrust to them that there is more then the modern society shows and reveals in life.

With this I hope you all are well and may we soon see the light of better times for us FW‘s in this modern harsh and untrustworthy world.
